How to have and Abundance of Energy Part 1:

Posted on 29 December 2008

You need a certain amount of energy to carry out any of your life’s tasks. You need energy to go to work, take care of your kids, have a great business, a great body and a great mind.  However, sometimes it is difficult with all we have to do in our days, to find the energy to do all the things we want to.

There is enough energy to do, be and have all you want, because there is an infinite amount of energy we can tap into. The first step is to find out where you are leaking energy or giving away your energy.

Since I used a combination of coaching and healing in my work with clients, I look for the areas in their bodies, their lives and businesses where there are energy drains. Here are some of the most common:

Physical body: Tired, not enough sleep, not enough exercise, not enough hydration, stress, worry, fear, anxiety over money.

Business: Not having a handle on every part of their business, cash flow problems, incongruency with what they are doing, needing to look good, keeping business open even if it’s a financial mistake.

Personal Life: Over doing for others, cluttered house, not enough self-care, rescuing people, people borrowing money and not paying back, doing things out of obligation rather than love, negative people, needless worrying.

You can gain back so much of your energy if you find out where you are being drained. Make a toleration list. A toleration is anything that you do not love, you are just tolerating. Are there people in your life that you tolerate? Are you tolerating a job that makes you unhappy because you feel stuck in it? Are you tolerating an unhealthy body?

I had a long list of tolerations, which included a messy house so that every time I went home I would just let out a frustrated sigh and not even want to be there. Rather than come home and feel good, it drained me so much that I ignored it because I didn’t have the energy to deal with it.  I also tolerated people borrowing money from me years ago that still haven’t paid me back even though they are doing well and can afford to.

After you make a toleration list, commit to addressing 1 or 2 things on that list each day. If you address it little by little you will gain back your energy, while feeling empowered because you are taking care of it. If you have to talk to people, remember to take responsibility for what you were tolerating so that you can speak to them with love and not blame.

If you are tolerating an unhealthy body, make a small commitment to address that such as buying healthy food or exercising. If you are tolerating being in debt, address it by learning all you can about money and take responsibility for your financial future.

Watch how quickly your life shifts, as you tell the universe that you are not tolerating any more, and that you deserve better. I have seen major changes in people’s lives from this exercise alone so I am excited to hear how this works for you. Please email me and let me know what happens!
