Finding one’s purpose seems to be the biggest mystery of most people’s existence. I used to ask for my purpose to be revealed to me every day when I prayed. I’ve read articles on how to find your purpose and even wrote it into my online coaching program because it is such a core issue. People don’t feel satisfied with their lives if they don’t have a sense of purpose.
Â
But what if the purpose of your life is to live a life of purpose?
If it resonates with you, then it is true. You can use it as your springboard and everything you do can be aligned with that.
You can live a purposeful life every single day, and that purpose does not have to be the big, ultimate blackboard in the sky purpose you’ve been looking for.
Â
If you ask every day how you can give a higher purpose to your day, then since life is a string of day to day living, at the end of life you will see how you did live on purpose every day. We all fear looking back and seeing how we didn’t live. But better than that, you get to feel it in the moment today. Give yourself a sense of purpose just for the day and see how you feel. It will allow you to stop looking for that big ultimate purpose which if you haven’t found it may leave you still searching or feeling incomplete.
Â
Don’t let the days slip by feeling like you are still looking for it. Create a purpose for every day for now, while you search for your big ultimate. See how that feeling impacts your day, and therefore, your life.
Â
Rather than just getting through the day, give every single thing you do a higher purpose. I can go to yoga class to get in shape, feel great, connect with the breath, and feel like I am taking good care of myself. But what if I gave it an even higher purpose? The other day when I went to class I decided to dedicate my practice to God. The entire class I silently said “I love you†in the way of Ho’oponopono. “I love you†for one hour and a half straight. Can you guess how I felt after class?
Â
Here is another thought that resonates with me. We all come here to express our highest selves. That would be our uniqueness, special gifts and talents, basically who we are. I think that is the purpose of everyone’s life, to fully express who he or she is.
Â
Anytime we are not fully expressing who we are, we feel it. We feel off, disconnected. Whenever you express yourself through an activity you love you feel joyous. If that activity helps you express fully then that is your purpose. Find some way to do that activity as often as possible and you will find your peace and prosperity as well.

Purpose, Peace and Prosperity to you!
