Shawn was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. A self-proclaimed “geek” Shawn Boyd has had a passion for computers and technology since the days when he was five years old and taking apart the family television set only to reassemble the parts in perfect order!  Raised in Washington, DC and Manhattan, NY, Shawn came to Hawaii as a high school graduation present from his family. That two week vacation turned into an over 25 year long love of the Islands.  As a young adult living on his own in Hawaii, Shawn joined the United States Army’s Medical Corps to fulfill the legacies of both of his parents. During his tenure as a “Ranger Medic” Shawn gain the leadership experience and “think on your feet” attitude that gained him the moniker “Doc” that he is know by even to this day.

Shawn has since worked in Print, Radio, Film, Television and Multi-Media Technology. Always curious and with a passion for learning, Shawn went back to school to earn three degrees in eBusiness and Information Technology from University of Hawaii’s Kapiolani Campus and Japanese Language from Tokai Daigaku Shonan Campus in Kanagawa-ken, Japan in 2006. Shawn is proficient in Spanish and Japanese.
